Slow Cooker Chuck Roast

Ingredients: 

1 Chuck Roast

1 Tsp beef bouillon 

1oz Packet Brown Gravy Mix

1oz Packet Aujus Gravy Mix

1 32oz Beef Stock (4cups)

1 Tablespoon minced garlic

1 tsp Salt 

2 tsp black pepper 

All purpose Flour

 Method:

  1. Season roast with salt and pepper then dry brine overnight uncovered on rack in refrigerator 
  2. Dust all sides of the roast with flour
  3. Sear over med-hi heat in large cast iron skillet
  4. Place in slow cooker on low
  5. Add garlic, gravy packets, bouillon and beef stock
  6. Cook for 8-10 hours with lid on then serve

 

Suggestion: 

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or roasted vegetables.
